Stumblehere - New era of classifieds

Written by Sujay on Friday, June 20th, 2008 in News.

Recently when I was searching for classified sites…. I discovered this awesome site Stumblehere.com. And the cherry to the ake is that they provide this service for FREE. Free classified ads are always prefered for small or home based buisness where you do not want to spend more of money on large banners and so on.  The major thing that I liked about it is that it is not just yet another dump of classified ads, but is itellegently managed and presented. It offers the visitors the feature of switching in to their local community where the ads are geo targetted. Like wise if I want a service provider from alaska, I do not have to search the particular service section and see if theres anyone from. I can switch to my local community thereby getting the services targetted to my state. You can also have your ads as partner classified ads and there is a link for recent partner ads as well where the users can get the update of the produts.  The for sale section makes it easier for the customers or finders to tack the services or products which are for sale. This helps the sellers as well to survey the current market status and pricing their products accordingly. Besides all these advantages the ace advantage that I think is… that its FREE…

Understanding Debt and Debt Consolidation

Written by Sujay on Monday, April 14th, 2008 in Education, News, Uncategorized.

When you hear the word “debt consolidation,” what is the first thing that comes into your mind? From word debt itself, you may think of it as something that is easy to get into but difficult to get out of. Before we give the definition of debt consolidation, let us discuss first how a person gets into debt. We simply can say that it is a way of life. Governments, multinational corporations, small businesses, families, and individuals have all come to accept debt as normal.

Pride often creates debt, and debt creates strain. Strain leads to other difficulties. So how does one live in a world that is debt oriented and, at the same time, stay out of debt? Credit cards can be easily acquired. Over the spectrum from loan sharks to respectable banking institutions, there are millions of successful, aggressive persons who are in the business of selling money.

Many formulas exist to define an acceptable ratio of debt to income. But these vary so much that many have little meaning. For instance, some economists feel that a family may comfortably allocate 30% of gross income to pay for shelter. This is for mortgage payments or rent. However, this formula may not be feasible for the very poor. So, general formulas are often too vague. The whole problem of debt control is better considered on a personal level.

Debt Management
Debt management is the key to a positive outlook on debts. First, you should establish a working relationship with a reputable bank. Second, you must know how to pay off your debts in some organized way. For example, a bank may suggest a “debt consolidation” loan.
The word “debt” means the amount of money or something of value that is borrowed from a person referred to as a debtor. Usually, a debt that is borrowed carries some type of penalty along with the payback such as an interest, or service. On the other hand, “consolidation” means the combining of separate companies, functional areas, or product lines, into a single one. It differs from a merger, in that a new entity is created in the consolidation.
Therefore, “debt consolidation” is the process of bringing all debts together and then paying them through a single loan, or simply replacing multiple loans with a single loan. It is a strategy often used by consumers to better manage their debt problems. Instead of paying off several separate bills each month, a consumer consolidates his debts with a financial institution to arrange for one lower monthly payment extending over a period of time.

Debt management includes the ability to reject them. But if it is really a need and you decided to pay it through consolidation, then be sure to consider the interest rate and the length of time over which the consolidated debt is to be repaid. It may usually mean smaller payments over a longer period of time; but you should not be tempted to use the debt consolidation to borrow “more” money.

If Aamir Khan Did Not Make Taare Zameen Par: A Movie Un-Review

If you want to know how good Taare is, just go to your nearest theater and watch the people coming out after the show. The cacophony that surrounds a crowd exiting a theater will be missing. Some would be walking in slow motion. Some would look petrified. At least thats what happened in the theater I went to. Not a single soul was talking after the movie, probably because what everyone saw on screen was not fiction, but a semi-biography of his/her own life. In fact, the normally rowdiest gang in a theatre (ie my friends and I) that is uber vocal at the end of a film left the theater in pin drop silence. The first thing we said to each other -Aamir Bhai has done it again.
Indeed, Aamir Khan had done it again. I have a gut feeling that Taare would change people like no other movie has previously done.
I know only Aamir can make a film like Taare. But let us assume he did not make it (dream on!). What would the film have been like?

If Karan Johar made Taare
Obvious starcast:
Shah Rukh Khan as the arts teacher (duh duh duh!!).
Aryan Khan as the dyslexic child (even if he could not act for nuts).
Rani Mukerjee as the kids mom (assuming Kajol is unavailable).
Abhishek Bachchan as the kids dad.
Amitabh Bachchan as the school principal (who cares if the role is ultra minute, he can afford it).
It would be shot in New York to appeal to the NRI audience.
The story line would obviously be different. SRK would fall for the dyslexic kids mom. The last scene would have the mom running to the teacher rather than the kid. And again, like in so many other movies, SRK would get someone elses girl.
It would have one dance number.
The film would be titled Kuch Taare Zameen Par.
If Sanjay Leela Bhansali made Taare

Her taste for science started at 9 when she created a paradigm to explain the molecular structure of candy. It sounds sweet, but also sophisticated — teachers use her methods in the classroom. Before she was old enough to buy sweets at a PG-13 movie, her candy-making findings were featured at major scientific summits.
